Contributeenemy Roofing does not do roofing. We make the introduction and then step back.

What Happens on the Call

The first talk is usually short and relaxed. Expect the provider to ask a few simple things:

• What problem are you seeing?
• How old is the roof?
• Where is the house?
• Has there been recent storm or hail activity?

They may suggest a visit to look at the roof up close. Availability varies, so Request a callback to check provider availability.

What to Ask an Independent Provider

It helps to have a few questions ready. You do not need to know roofing terms. Plain questions work well.

• Are you licensed and insured in Wisconsin? Can I see proof?
• Will you give me a written quote?
• What materials do you suggest, and why?
• How long do you expect the job to take?
• What happens if you find more damage once work begins?
• How should I care for the roof afterward?

That last question matters. A good provider will tell you how to keep the roof healthy once the work is done.

Talking to a provider does not commit you to anything. There is no obligation. You can ask for more than one quote. You can take time to think. You can say no.

Typical roof costs vary a lot by size, material, and roof shape, so always get the price in writing before you agree to anything. If storm damage is involved, check your policy. Some policies may cover sudden damage, and providers can often help document it for a claim.
